    Hi,

My SOGH W(A0200) cooker is not working properly. When I use the oven it sometimes does not cook the food then other times it will burn the outside but not cook the inside of the food.

I think this could be a thermostat problem.

What do you thinh the problem is and do you think it can be fixed?

    Many Thanks

    Phil

It’s an Arrow, which means it was made by Teba, who are no longer trading. Elements are still available as copy parts; as far as I am aware, nothing else now is.

A generic “universal” electric oven thermostat may solve your problem, but is unlikely that the calibration will be to the same specification as the original.

    Time to move on, perhaps?

I hold the thermostat in stock as well as all the elements. As to weither its the thermostat, the only way is to check the temprature when its playing up.

    Penguin, Bryan,

Thanks for the reply. I think you are correct about getting a new one but I’m currently trying to sell the house (not much chance of that at the moment) and don’t want the out lay.

I’ll check the temp next time it plays up. If the temp is playing up would a local appliance engineer be able to replace the thermostat easy enough.

    Again thanks for your time.

    Phil
