Hotpoint WDM73 Control or Display module?

Hi Folks

Went to this today and was a bit of a teaser – cust said m/c stopped half way thru prog and could only select few progs. Tried m/c n could not fault it. suddenly while I was trying to reselt program after the m/c been on for about 5 min while I was checking the heater could not select from bottom 4 vertical program buttons on L/H side and m/c would not start.

After about 2 min all started normally.. Seems like elecronic component breaking down not the buttons..

Just wondered if anyone come across this before as not sure if this is a display panel fault or main module. Feelings are that its a main board prob but any help appreciated.

Phoned EMW but they do neither board as recon or can’t test either 🙁
