has anyone had this fault that the sesor dryer dosent heat up. we have had about twenty that wont heat or take along time, we have been told it could be a manurfacturing fault and could be the exaust ntc thermostat not registering the temperture. we have spoke to whirlpool and they have no technical department in uk apparantley.

    anyone got any ideas

have no knowledge of this machine but an ntc is only a temperature contolled resistor if you substitute various fixed resistors you should get the heators to turn on and off try

this is a decade resistance box so you can switch in various values quickly

it would be nice if you knew the resistance of the ntc at a given temp to help diagnosis but you can measure the in situe while you are switching in and out resistors to turn on and off heater

    hope this helps
