ParticipantHi Everybody
This is my first post and hopefully you can give me some sound advice.
Prior to ordering my dishwasher I read the Bosch installation guide pdf and discovered I would need the additional filler strip to go inbetween the control panel and the door facia. I ordered the strip part no 352474 which duly arrived. I have fitted the dishwasher but cannot for the life of me see how this filler strip fits. I am begining to wonder if the have sent me the correct part.I will describe the strip as best as I can
It is 590 long 55 high and 20 deep. It is something like stanless steel with a blue plastic protective covering. The metal is folded over to make it box sectional and has 10X10 tab pointing down at both ends. at the top it has three cut outs, rectangular in shape. I have tried to draw them below.

The two small ones are 20mm long and the larger one is 160mm long.
From your experience, do I have the right part and if so how does it fit. There are no instructions anywhere.
Thanks Simeon

ParticipantOff the top of my head Simeon , it sounds right. The Dishwasher is , i guess , a semi-intergrated appliance which is an intergrated machine but with the control panel on the front at the top.
Basically , you will see that the control panel ‘juts’ out over the the front panel of the machine ( This is without the decor door fitted !!! ) and the filler strip slides up into this recess below the control panel. You would then fit the decor door and adjust the strip accordingly just by pulling it down into position to remove any gaps
Hope this helps

Hi Paul
Thanks for your reply but I am still baffled as to how it fits. I assume the edge with the cut outs goes on top and the bottom ids the two tabs which are pressed down by the decor door. There does not seem to be any gap or recess to allow the thing to slide in. Bosch were real a***s on the phone and would only offer an engineers visit at £74 I don’t think so. A bit of documentation would’nt hurt. Thanks Simeon

ParticipantOk , Simeon , thats got me. I haven’t seen one like that !!!
Have you tried sliding the strip , maybe attempting it both ways , up under the protruding edge of the top control panel ?

The two A & B slide up uder the control panel nicely but that would leave the three cutouts C,D and E exposed ny the edge of the decor door. I might take the risk and get the engineer out because I am convinced it cannot fit and if that is the case they are advertising a spare pare part for a machine that does’nt fit so would get the money back. Either way I will let you know what happens

ParticipantI wouldn’t call out someone from BSH as its not a fault as such and you would probably end up with a call out charge .
I would give the BSH technical advice line a call 1st . They may be able to help you.
HOWEVER…i think you have the wrong part number. Is your appliance Enr actually SGI46m….and not SG146M ( i not 1 ) because on the spares list , the part number shown for that strip is 434762 although i believe thats a dark brown or black strip.
Is your control panel stainless steel or brown/black ?
You can check out the part numbers on this page by entering your full Enr in the appliance finder box on the lower right hand side. You should be able to get an exploded vew of your appliance and page 1 shows the adjustment strip.
