hi guys went to repair a hoover slim line dishwasher model HDS 555m . the problum was when switched on made a bang and took out the fuse. when checking switched off the power leaned over flooded base dryed up the water. reconnected power put on a wash program.
filled up ok no wash action could here the wash pump hum removed base inside base bably rusted wash pump casing badly rusted. wash pump seized up could not see where water was coming from seemed to be badly put togeather rubber mounting on bottom of the motor was hanging off seemed like it was glued on.
the only thing i could think that it must have been over filling. or not able to empy as the waste hose was flattend and pushed in with the washing machine out let pipe .it had a hoover badge but was a wolf in sheep clothing i think fasetester 🙂

Overfilling/overfoaming leading to flooding of the base tray is a standard issue with these – if you’ve got an hour to spare, put ‘chinese AND dishwasher’ into Search and prepared to be amazed. Or horrified..
Basic problem is that the water level control is hyper-sensitive and people will put multi-function tablets into the machines – given that it’s a slimline, they’re overdosing the machine by about 33{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} everytime, then it froths down the overflow tubes.
It’s your call, but I would run away, rapidly! Fit a new motor and warranty it – you’ll have a friend for life who’ll cost you a fortune.

thanks chris for your reply. its the second one in a while i think the last one she had was doing something the same the took it away and brought her this one.
what would be a good slim line dishwasher. and should you only use half of the tablet salt and rince aid. fasetester 🙂
