Hi,
We have a Whirlpool ARC7050, bought back in December 2003.
Serial No: 8501 705 15001 – 110345 004721
We have noticed that the upper Fridge compartment has reduced in temperature, in that it isn’t as cold as it use to be.
There is a small control panel at the top of the machine, which don’t respond, I know this as I have tried to put it on the extra cold function.
I can also, from time to time, hear a clicking noise, like its coming from behind the fridge part.
The Freezer part is working fine.
Any help, advice would be appreciated.

I have the same make/model as you and have the same problem. I have a breakdown cover and have been told that I need the replace the 2 control panels (fridge and freezer) The parts were ordered back in Dec and are still on back order – hopefully arriving in March…… We had a 2nd engineer out to confirm the problem and he did – its either replace the parts or the f/freezer…Re: * Problem with Whirlpool ARC7050 Fridge/Freezer – UPDATE

Did the engineer tell you how much those parts would cost?
I don’t think I have cover, I’ll need to check the paperwork.
