Hello, my girlfriend had loaded up the dryer and approx 40 mins later a strong electrical smell came from the rear of the machine. I emptied the dryer, over the 6kg limit by probably 2kg. Ran dryer, drum rotates, no heat. Opened back panel, no sign of electrical damage, thermostats and heating element look like new (machine only 18 months old). I dont own a ohmmeter so cant check resistance. What do you reckon? Element??? ❓

Thanks Helo 75, out of interest what would cause the burning smell? Friction of the drum I can understand but a thermostat…I removed them, they look like new and dont smell…
