This sort of appliance is not really classed as whitegoods. 😉
However it does sound as though some of the gearing inside has failed. They are often made of plastic these days.
The only thing to do if you do not fancy opening it up yourself is to take it along to a local electrical shop ( should you still be lucky enough to have one ).
Sadly Kenwood along with a huge swathe of old, well known and respected British brands is not the appliance it once was. 😥
