Hope that someone can help. We have a Whirlpool AWM 6090 washing machine, bought about 9 years ago, but at a second home in France, so not in use constantly for 9 years.
I have a real problem in that it keeps cutting out – the Pause light will come on so many times within a programme that I can end up sitting beside it just starting it up again… not a good way to spend time.
Seems to particularly happen on Cotton 30 degrees.
I did get an engineer out from the shop in the village we bought the machine from a few years ago, parted with quite a few euros to be told that nothing was wrong with it. While he was here looking at it the wretched thing worked just perfectly and would not ‘stop’. Sometimes the Door Open light comes on and we just have to open and shut the door and it will start again, but sometimes it is just the Pause light.
It is about to have to go to the local tip but thought I would try one more time to see if it could be repaired but would like to know if it is a real Friday Afternoon model.

No advice offered on my query a couple of weeks ago – so have had that machine taken to the tip and a new one installed – now I can’t remember the make of the new one, but told in the shop it was made by Bosch. Very simple and it worked for the six days that we were there with it.
