The belt has broken on my tumble dryer.
How much of the machine has to be dismantled in fitting a new belt?
    Instructions would be great.

make sure youve got plenty plasters

    heater cover off
    unclip the rear bearing
rear panel off, fit belty over drum, refit rear panel

use some sort of tool to drag the belt over the motor shaft ( a socket with an extension on it is always good , and, yes, it is that tight) you can do this through the access panel on the bottom right hand side

    good luck, and be careful!!

Just got around to fitting new belt today.
    Helo, thanks for ur help.
Found the belt extremely tight. The metal on the rear panel is dangerously sharp but found the easiest way to complete task.
Do not refit the rear panel immediately. Reconnect the drum to the panel and fit one screw on the lower left of the rear panel loosely. This allows the drum to rotate with the panel attached down towards the motor. Now fit the belt over the drum and on the motor at your ease.
With a lever bar between the motor casing and the panel move the panel to line up the screw holes. I found it easier to refit from the top left and move down.Next the bottom from right to left and then the left hand side from bottom to top. Easy and no lacerations.
