Hi oh ugly one,if it was anything like the Zanussi one’s of times gone by as long as the incoming water wasn’t above 60 degrees it was ok if above this temp it can affect the resins in the regeneration container, spk soon nige hope all’s well :rolls:

The two problems that can be caused by hot water connection that i know of are…..

    1. Poor drying results if there is a heat exchanger involved
    2. Poor cleaning on certain proteins which respond better to cold water pre-rinse….i think !!! ( egg is one that springs to mind )…although i may be corrected on this one

Simple answer, provided the water doesn’t go about the magic 60 degrees all will be well for any make of dishwasher to operate without fear.

There’s been lots said on the subject about “certain proteins” affected by the sudden ingress of warm water. Lots of scientists in white coats tapping the sides of test tubes on the subject. They may prove black is white for all it matters but what I do know is that for the last 21 + years (and two dishwashers in that time) I’ve never had anything other than squeaky clean results.

Salt Water Ion Exchangers don’t suffer the excess salt scum residue during backwash. Similarly, the ‘gunge’ that affects cold fill machines so badly just does not affect hot fill machines. No gunge ever, fact. 8)

    …..:duck: 😉
