I have an annoying issue with our Belling.

The ignition system works on a schedule all of it’s own.
Most times it simply does not work but then every now and then it starts to work and then won’t shut off.

My issue is I don’t know how the ignition system works to be able to check and isolate the problem.

Could somebody just give a brief run down of the ignition process.
Where the power is drawn from and whether the individual switches are essentially linked as one or are they supposed to work independently.

In other words, hob one switch operates hob one spark or hob one switch operates all sparks on all hobs.

    Many thanks

Its a gas appliance and the forum rules are no advice on gas appliances.

    ah, there is that, sorry.

It’s an electrical fault though but I guess rules are rules 🙁
