KeymasterHi guys. I`m very impressed with the level of technical knowledge and good old down to earth answers from your senior members.
Obviously well trained and seasoned engineers in their own fields.
Thats the bum licking over with so heres my problem.I`m sadly the owner of the Creda TCR2 which although has worked fine since purchase (2 years) has always been very noisy. Just lately the noise level has become almost unbearable especially when it switches to start the pump going and send the water up to the reservoir or could it be that this is when the drum reverses direction. (Bit of a guess that – I don`t know when the pump comes into operation).
It`s not a mechanical noise (grinding or comething catching) but more of a really bad vibration. Sounds like something has gone out of balance. The machine is sited on a solid concrete floor and is perfectly level. I regularly clean the filter and condenser unit.
My wife says that if I can`t get it mended then she`s going to take a sledgehammer to it at the weekend. Probably a wise decision.
So, is this the norm for this machine or has something failed. I know they have a certain notoriety for being the noisiest tumbler in the universe but any advice would be most welcome.PS
Just found out that there is a guy 3 miles away who is a supplier of ISE dryers. Please don`t let this influence your comments!

Participanthttp://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tumble+D … r+Fan.html
will be the problem
if your wanting to look
plug out,top off
looking from the front, its the right hand side panel that needs to come off
i screw on the top, 4 at the rear, panel pulls back and lifts off
the fan is under the grey shroud in front of the motor, next to the pulley
unclip it and manually turn the drum and see if its out of shape, or obstructed
some people take the fan off and run it without for a min to prove its that (keep hands well clear )
hope this helps

Absolutely spot on Helo. The fan was out of shape and i did what you suggested about removing it for a moment and the noise completely disappeard. Have already ordered from UK whitegoods.
Thanks very much mate much appreciated.
