My machine has been ok for years (5 ish although not a great washer) had a little quirk the other day with a garment stuck in the door..was able to free it without too much water coming out(was surprised the door opened at all though).
next day wash cycle 4, started, water in, few rotations then stopped, light off. managed to re-start it.
now same problem…some water in and rotations then stopped and light went off.door opened so removed washing..emptied drainage pipe and cleaned out the filter…called the ariston helpline from the manual..as it was late i got put through to a service / technial help guy…he recommended i reboot…couldn’t quite get it done…i’ve changed the fuse but still have no power light at all. please can you help ? many thanks in advance, mike
To cancel existing fault, set dial to a dot and switch on. Start lamp should give a flicker after a few seconds. You can then switch off and re-programme.
However, I would have a look at the carbon brushes in the drive motor as first port of call. Programme will abort if the motor is out of circuit. Article on brush motors HERE.
Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.
no flicker…realistically, with this machine…is it worth fixing ?it’s been pretty rubbish, i don’t use the tumble dryer and the washing is very poor…i only got it because it came with my flat !?! I’ll buy a good new machine rather than waste money on a not so good old one. what is the realistic lifetime of this machine…it’s used maybe 4 times a week ?
