ParticipantRepaired this machine a few weeks ago. The rear weight had completely desintergrated due to what seemed to be a bad connection on the motor wiring plug at the tacho connection point. Replaced weight and cleaned up connections on plug and machine worked fine. Got called back week later about machine not working properly. Seemed to be tacho problem again, so pulled off motor plug cleaned contacts and tightened again. There is a little bit of play on the tacho where it connects to the motor but not sure if this is a problem. Anyway machine worked fine after. Now customer has called again to say it was working fine but is now doing it again.
Any suggestions please.
Thanks

The first time i went there if i remember rightly when i put it on spin it would tumble as if it was getting ready to ramp up and then whip suddenly up to spin and back to tumble and do this continuasly and the timer would not count down. After i cleaned motor tacho contacts it ramped up to spin normally and counter counted down as noramal. Im not too sure what the machine is doing now as the customer is an old boy and a bit vague but seemed to say that it was bashing about a bit.

hi
take tacho coil off from the motor and take a look to see if the tacho magnet
has come unscrewed from armature……if so take out and put some glue on it and re screw back in…….
