I have a 2 year old Bosch Classixx dishwasher (SGS55c02GB) that has developed a problem.

When it first starts any cycle it fills up with water until the flood (float) switch is activated, it then cycles: fill up and emergency empty.

I think the problem is that the machine does not know when it has the correct water level in it but I cannot find a level switch. There is a flow device in the inlet pipe.

Can someone tell me how this machine is designed to know that it has sufficient water in it to wash? Is it just the flow meter, if so I will try replacing it.

    Thanks

Yup, flow meter (or “impellor jug” in Boschese) will be the culprit.

P/no 424099, spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.

When you replace the impellor jug use a hair dryer to warm the blue hose up, this will make removal of the old part so much easier.
