Can anyone help with my tumble dryer.

When i turn the dial to start it I get the usual whirring noise as though it will start drying but nothing happens. I thought the belt might have broken but I’ve checked that and it’s ok.

    Thanks in advance

Whirring noise will be the motor, which has the fan at one end and the pulley for the belt at the other end, therefore the belt is not connected.

Plug out, put it on its back and remove the access panel on the bottom. Using a torch, you should be able to figure out what has happened – a tension pulley issue, perhaps.
