Hi, I have a Hotpoint DWF30 and having problems with it not cleaning – I always finding plates/cups still dirty and inside the cups/glasses there is dishwasher tablet not dissolved. I use Fairy Active bursts and I never had any other trouble with them before. I have tried doing a load which isn’t full – to see if I was overfilling the machine but no avail. Also I have tried doing a 65c wash to see if that would help and again no avail. However today I thought on empty I see what is happening and it looks like the spray arms are not moving but water spraying up. I did have this problem before Christmas – and it seemed to correct itself but now doesn’t want to clean. Any help would be great!

It’s a Peterborough-built Bosch. The standard “poor wash” fault is caused by underfilling. If you’re going to do this yourself, remove door outer panel, kick panel and the lower cover plate. The ribbed hose in the bottom left hand corner needs to be pulled out and cleaned, as it has probably filled up with sludge. If that doesn’t sort it, the sludge may have backed up into the fill chamber under the left hand side panel. Again, it will need to be removed, stripped and throroughly cleaned.
Power off first; let us know how you get on.
