Went to a Diplomat D/W ADP 8242 (don’t we love ’em!)

It starts any pgm, fills, washes for 2-3 mins, then stops, no activity, correct light still on, power to machine, still full of water, just stopped.

Did reset routine, then checked pump, wash motor/pump, htr element, antiflood, all OK and functioning. Base pan dry. Reset the antiflood just in case. Pumps out fine on “pgm cancel”. Got the good (whirlpool) motor, not the Askoll rubbish. Everything seems fine. Did heater and general check with Megger = all OK.

That leaves the famous module. It would seem it just halts the pgm after a few minutes. If anyone has any feedback or ideas on this, before I splash out around 130 pounds for a module, then most welcome!!

    Thanks!!

What was the outcome of this one Mike? I went to one today doing exactly the same thing?

I had exactly the same last year. Heater connector with a bad connection had burned out and it caused the same condition. Still same problem after connection remade so got board repaired at QER. All ok now….touch wood 😉

Update – I fitted a spare (used) board. All seemed OK, then the customer called me, and said it now had a “different fault” – washing continuously I think. However they have now gone on holiday for a few weeks. …

Changing the board seemed to remedy the fault. I like the idea of a board repair at QER or EMW.

    To be continued….
