    Hi,
I got a 15 years old Levin chest freezer with Stanley steel lip. It is about 19 cu.ft . The cooling fan worn out 6 months ago. I changed the fan I found in this web site. Part no. is MF53103 – Fridge & Freezer Fan Motor. It is a 7″ fan. Just over 2 months, the fan worn out again. The fan motor got heat up and the bearing stuck( the fan won’t turn). I put another new fan in and it only last another 3 months. The fan worn out again. What is wrong? The freezer is still working with a desk fan aiming at the compressor. What can I do now? Please help!

    Cheers…

    HI spimps,
Thanks for the reply. The problem has been solved. It turned out the wiring issue. One of the wire should be connected to the thermostat controller. Now the motor get stop when the freezer reach the set temperature. Everything is going fine now. Thanks a lot!
