ParticipantHello, I am looking for a new integrated washer/dryer. I have picked 4, the AEG and Zanussi are a bit out of my price range. Which manufacturer makes the best machine?
Electrolux EWX12550W
Smeg WDI12C1
AEG L11842VIT
Zanussi ZKI245

Hi
The AEG, Electrolux and the Zanussi are all from the same stable. The Electrolux does not have all the bells and whistles of the others. As for the Smeg will look good but ……………. Do you really need a washer dryer combined as the reliabilty is an issue.
This article on washer dryers may change your mind and perhaps consider looking at seperatewashers and dryers.

Hi, So washer dryers are that bad. Hmmm I wonder if that could be one reason why our 18-month-old Hotpoint decided to catch fire.
We don’t have space for a separate dryer. We don’t use the dryer a lot. Its handy if it’s raining and you need the clothing dry.
So I take it washer dryer are seen as a normal washing machine with a dryer squeezed in. Washes cloths fine but does not dry them very well.
So having a dryer built in decreases the reliability of the washer? Even from the big makes?
Thankyou

Hi, That’s just a big leap out of my price range. I remember reading the one down side of a Miele is if it does go wrong its not cheap to fix.
We have now decided that we will go for just a washing machine.
Electrolux
EWG12450W
EWG14440W
EWG14750WZanussi
ZWI1125
ZWI2125It looks like it could be the Electrolux EWG12450W.
Should washers with LCD screens be avoided? I see the EWG14750W relies a lot more on the LCD display.
Thankyou
