My Hygena Turbo Deluxe oven door just exploded!

Hi everyone – my thread title says it all. I suppose it was 20 years old and was installed by the previous owner so doesn’t owe us anything. Was doing a roast at the weekend and heard a loud bang and then the sound of thousands of pieces of outer door glass falling on the floor – quite spectacular really.

Now the question is what to do with it – do I try and get it repaired, or a new oven? Our problem is that we intend to have a new kitchen fitted in the next 12 months but we’re not ready to do it just yet (some work issues to resolve!) so would be getting new appliances etc then. Not even sure it could be repaired cheaply or not?

Altenratively we’re happy to try and find a dirt cheap single built-in oven (with internal grill) to put in untilwe do the kitchen. The cheapest I can find is around £150 mark but was hoping to find something cheaper than this – anyone on here got an oven lying around, or in the back of a shop that they can’t sell? Not bothered about colour etc. Happy to look at anything! On Merseyside if it helps!
