ParticipantOver the past few months have been to about six newish Bosch washing machines, the one today was a WAA24171GB/01.
These have all had a nick out of the door seal at the six or seven oclock position.
Any one else experienced this.

yep tell the numpty customers not to pull all the clothes out together, buttons on jeans or zippers catch on the rubber as they are dragged out.

Jeans corkscrewed on spin trapped between door glass and seal when cust closed door 😆 Looks like a bite.

Thanks for the reply, yes I do know all these faults it’s just that on the older Bosch machines this did not seem to be such a repetative problem.
Yes Helo_75 they are a nice job, in general I do enjoy working on Bosch washers compared to some others.

The damaged front lip of the door seal thing seems to have come since the doors have got bigger.

Its cause is down to customers leaving items of laundry hanging out of the door and then starting the machine.

Funnily enough, i used to get regular calls for Zanussis for the very same thing.. little chunk from the seal lip & flooded floor, i always blamed the little 4.5 kilo drum & over stuffing leading to a trapped garment.
I think its just beyond some people to make sure nuffins hanging out before they close the door 😯 -
