    Hi all.
    Model: WD865a
Issue: Machine leaks relatively small amounts (large cup full) during each drying cycle.

Action taken to date: cleaned out the black sump filter (as per another threads solution to leaks). Very little in there, but did find a £1 coin!. Still same problem however.

Is there another part of the machine which may also require cleaning, which may be causing this problem?

I’ve read the other threads and have noted the history and problems with this model and washer / dryers generally. SO I know I have a tempremental beast on my hands, but any helo or advice would be welcome.

    Thanks
    Matt

I’d take the lid of and observe. A torch may help. Don’t touch anything before pulling the plug.

Leaks from the condensor assembly are not uncommon, often leaking all over the main PCB leading to a blown PCB.

Where does the water appear, front, back, sides ?

Thanks Penguin45 and Iadom for your replies.

Yes, observation seems like a good idea.

Could you advise on the location of the condenser please, and a brief descirption of what it may look like?

Also, is the pump a likely cause for this? WIth the sump not being clogged I didnt investigate that further….? just a thought.

I shall get back when I have observed!

The condensor is at the back left hand side looking from behind, underneath the fan house assembly.

Pump leaks are very rare, sump hose filter blockages are very common.
