Hi folks hope you can help ?

We have a 2 year old Stoves DF600SI Dual fuel cooker? After about 30 mins or so it just trips out the circuit breaker – when its just sat there with nothing more than the clock on? Thought it may be the fridge as its also plugged into the same cooker wall socket – but fridge is fine and moved to another switch to test? Its definitely the cooker?

Refurbed the kitchen recently but only moved the cooker forward a few inches out of the way to tile behind it but thats it nothing else?

I have switched the cooker on and the circuit does’nt blew – plugged a kettle into the same socket and switched the cooker on and no problem?

So its only as its sat there ???

Any help would be greatfully received – thanks in advance

    Stan

I’d be looking at the igniter system for the hob. It’s a capacitance discharge device. However, it’s part of the gas system, so I can’t tell you anymore.

    This post explains why.

Thanks very much for the prompt reply 😀

Hmm this is annoying – the cooker is only 2 years old and everything works fine on it – so you think its building up charge then maybe discharges and sets the trip off when it reaches a set level? (leaking capacitor?)

Well ok thank you for that looks like we need an engineer then! 🙁
