ParticipantWent to a 4 month old Bosch dishwasher SMS50E02GB/02, used in a care home so no g-tee.
The machine is not heating, i could not find the element
Looked on the Bosch website and found part 644997 a Heat Pump. This looks to be another part now combined.Anyone had one of these apart and are the Heat Pumps prone to early failure?
Thanks

It looks as well as them combining the heater into the motor. It has a separate water point diverter unit. The turbidity sensor between motor and sump. Drain pump sits at the front and looks fairly accessible. They’ve done away with a separate pressure chamber and instead have a reed switch water level sensor built into the heat exchanger/drain matrix.
An interesting development…..maybe a nice future earner methinks? 😉

GraemeIt might be worth checking with BSH as they may still get a 1 yr warranty on the appliance .

mind you, £79.25 for the heat pump compared to what….maybe £100 for the motor, £35 odd for the seal kit and another £70 odd for a heater on the current models it all looks a bit of a bargain….until you notice the module in the base is £110 and another one in the door at £40

Miele have the same set up in their modern dishwashers, must be a German craze to fit them in the pump of the circulation motor. I think the elements have too high wattage for such a confined space & can see them failing a lot.
