Hotpoint DF61 Dishwasher – Won’t fill

Hi Guys,
I hope you can help,

My fault seems slightly different to most of the others I’ve seen posted on here for this machine.

Although the machine won’t fill, everything else seems to work fine.
If I manually fill the machine with water, then close the door and start the program, the machine runs fine, water pumps rapidly from the jets, water gets hot then drains etc, in fact it will complete the entire cycle until more water is required.
After pulling the machine out, there are no signs of any leaks or water on the floor.
It seems that the pumps are operating fine so the problem appears to be getting water in.
I am pretty competent at repairing my own appliances, so if anybody knows, or has an idea what the fault may be (and a step by step guide) I will be happy to attempt the repair myself.
