Went out to this today.Machine dead but electrical supply correct to and through suppressor.Door lock changed but no difference.
Is it likley to be module or something else?.Modules are £150.00+ so I need to be sure.

Could have a look inside old interlock. If it looks burnt inside, it might have taken the pcb with it.

Thanks Mike.
Door lock is heat marked on casing so looks like it could be expensive.

Those interlocks are pretty weak, that’s for sure. The old ones weren’t good but they were better than these.
Always worth a look to see if there are any burnt tracks or exploded triacs on module. May be a possible self repair if not too far from base.

If the door lock is burnt, it will need replacing. But it almost certainly would have blown the main PCB and the display board. I had one last year that had blown all of the above AND the analogic pressure switch as well!!! 😯 Nice looking stylish landfill!! 👿
Electrolux are aware of the problem with the EWM2000 PCB’s and will do a discounted repair if the customer goes to them as it is a very late machine.
My customer’s repair came to nearly £300 – only saving grace was that it was integrated in a swish new kitchen. He was less than impressed as was I. This shouldn’t happen……. :rolls: If I come across this, I just refer them to ‘Lux now.Hope that helps,
Steve.

Thanks for that.
Customer has gone back to manufacturer.
It seems to me reading this section that many of the better manufacturers are going the way of the cheepo machines with dodgy electrics etc.
I`m a big Neff/Siemens/Bosch installer and still believe they are quality machines but for how much longer?.Chris.
