    Hi all

I have a Diplomat APM 6121 refrigerator that developed a problem a couple of months ago. Sorry, this is a long story…

Basically, it started to not come on, unless the fridge door was opened and reclosed. This developed into not coming on until the fridge door was banged (lightly, of course!) or the area around the thermostat was tapped. Then the fridge would come on and run for a while, before failing to turn on again.

Anyway, the thermostat was replaced under warranty…

Unfortunately, I hadn’t noticed at the time, but once the thermostat was replaced the fridge started to run continuously.

Unfortunately again, the warranty expired before I noticed the problem. However, I have argued and managed to get a new fridge. They have delivered a new one and not taken the old one away.

Now, not wanting to be wasteful, my question is can the broken one be easily repaired? Is it likely that an incorrect thermostat was fitted, or wired incorrectly, and how would I be able to tell?

    Thanks in advance…
