Hi – Any comments re this would be welcome – I have the above model Bosch Washing Machine and it is timing down too quickly i.e; A 2 hr wash goes almost immediately to 50 mins and a separate spin which should be 11mins turns for a short while before going straight to 2 mins. I have changed the brushes but have fitted pattern (Electrue) type – is this likely to be the problem? Have also changed pump, as it was faulty. The heater is heating.

    Regards

Any earth leak can cause erratic behaviour as far as programme timing goes. So armature probs or heater with a slight earth leak can create the symptoms you describe. Time to get the megger out I guess. 😉

I had a similiar problem with the Siemens brother. I did a service on one and replaced the brushes( old ones not quite gone). They weren’t ori brushes. The timer went from 11 mins ( i think) down to 2 mins and the spin would stop. Put in the old brushes and it worked ok. When the brushes do go i’m going to try original ones and see what happens.

Micky has a good point, pattern carbons on these motors are rubbish….always use genuine. 8)

The pattern ones were causing arcing, luckily though 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time pattern ones will work ok.
