ParticipantHello there,
I need to replace the Electrolux ESL 624 piece of junk that came with my house. The plastic top panel cracked in two places after about 10 months. The screws holding the front of the unit together have lost their grip, It washes very poorly. I’m on my 3rd set of wheels (2 of these have broken). Every now and then it just won’t fill and theres a smell of burning as the heating elements are heating nothing but air. It’s lasted 6 years though somehow. However, I hate it!I need a full size fully integrated dishwasher. My requirements:
How many people are using the machine 2 (and an 18month old!)
How many loads per day are you doing roughly? 1
Do you have size limits to what you can fit? No
Have you any special needs? No
What sort of budget you have. Approx £500Could you recommend a decent dishwasher for me? I have been looking on the Bosch website at the SHV55M03GB but after browsing these forums have noticed that this model is over 3 years old??! Is this STILL a current model as it would appear on the Bosch website?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Don is the man with his finger on the pulse, he may have missed this one so I will give it a bump.
Bosch/Neff is probably the way to go in that price range.

Hi
Most definately so. That Bosch is still a current model and is in stock at Bosch. Also take a look at their sister range Neff, for example the S54M45 all round good machine has the same two year warranty. Personally I think you get better value for your pound than the Bosch.

Thanks for the replies iadom & don.
Don, I’ve had a look at the Neff you suggested. When you compare the Neff S54M45 and the Bosch SHV55M03GB (similar price range), the Bosch seems to have many more features than the Neff. Is there a reason why I shouldn’t go for the Bosch therefore instead?Features of the Neff:

Hi BB
It really comes down to brand preferance really. We deal with both manufacturers and I must say Neff integrated sales out sell Bosch integrated by 99-1 probably as Neff mainly produce integrated appliances and Bosch are better known for freestanding machines, however I have just ordered some Bosch built in appliances for display so we will see.
That apart the Neff swings it for me only due to the water consumption is 12 litres opposed to the Bosch 14 and it is 3db quieter, nit picking I know 😆 and as we all know noise is a very subjective issue 😉 .
Either machine is well made by today`s standards and should give good service and with their two year warranties are among the best machines out there.

Well I ordered the Bosch SHV55M03GB a couple of weeks ago only to be let down by the online retailer. I waited in for delivery on the specified day after waiting 10 days. When it hadn’t shown in the timeslot given to me I rang the company who said that they had no record of my order!!?
Had trouble sourcing another one from elsewhere in stock and after contacting Bosch they told me it was being discontinued in a couple of weeks.
So, I have now ordered a Neff. I found a good deal on the better model (S54T59X0GB) – £550.
Due to be delivered on next Tuesday. Hopefully, this one will turn up! Thanks for all the help and advice.

One good reason to use a local independent retailer, you might save a few bob online but you won’t get the same level service and support. 😉

Thought I would give a quick update on how we have got on with our Neff S54T59X0GB dishwasher. It’s been running daily (sometimes twice a day – 2 kids now!) for 2 years. We have had absolutely ZERO issues with it and it cleans brilliantly. The quality compared to my cheap old one is night and day. Absolutely delighted with it.
