Hi, just after the door lock closes, the rcd in fuseboard blows. I have checked element and motor. unplugged drain pump and fitted new door lock. Checked module for any burning and all clear. You can turn machine on, lights come on. It blows as soon as door lock operates. The capacitor is ok as well. also checked the wiring. Has anyone come across this please?

Could be a faulty RCD though I doubt it, have you tryed anything else in the same socket?
I presume you have meggered the various components and all is well? Any of the wiring damaged? You have checked the module for burning but have you checked to see if any of the components have blown, triacs etc?

I feel like i have covered everything. Done all of the above. I repair quite a few bekos but have never had to look too deep. Was wondering what the pcb does as soon as lock is energized. Some do a little diagnoses. when i took the board out, i looked on both sides of the board and no signs of burning. The controls seem to work. i already ran on drain only cycle with the pump unplugged and the same thing happened. i did a test on the motor and seemed ok too. The RCD is ok as well as i tested the circuit. This has got me scratching my head. Many thanks

When you say the capacitor is ok, do you mean the radio interference filter? If so, what have you done to test it? The Beko’s I have seen all used a similar one to that used in Hoover Performa etc. They have a tendency to blow trips, sometimes intermittently. It is passing more current the moment the door locks. If you don’t have a spare to try in, you could just take it out of circuit temporarily.
