Hi. This is the first time I’ve NOT found the answer on UKW, so going for it.
My Bosch SGS5312 stopped at some point early in its cycle. It had the red bar for Wash on, and the LED on the Normal 65 degree button as usual. But it had completely stopped.
There was a little red dot in the bottom right of the display rectangle.
I power cycled. Tried the reset sequence (buttons 2 & 4). Cleared the filters.So hence the title – it’s Undead! I get proper responses to button presses. All the LEDs come on in response to their buttons. But nothing happens. Tray full of water and remnants of tablet but no action.
Any comments or advice gratefully received.

Any noises from the machine at all? I’m thinking maybe a faint buzzing sound?

Okay. I opened her up (power disconnected, of course). I pulled the control board out from under the facia on the door and took ot out of its plastic box to find a pin for one of the relays was black and part of the PCB burned away. I re-made the joint and tested continuity. Good joint. But then I noticed a little 16 pin IC at the bottom of the board has also blown its top.
Nevertheless I put it all back together and powered her up. No change to the situation 🙁
So next question – can anybody tell me the part number, where I can get one and how much it’s likely to cost me – for a new control board. And is it worth it? This thing is nearly 10 years old!Many thanks again.

Paul…As well as the module , there will be another component faulty if the chip has had its lid blown off. You would have to find out what else was wrong or your new £120 module will go pop just like the original !!!

TOO expensive to consider that repair! I very much appreciate the replies I’ve received and hope my experience will prove helpful to somebody.
I have a new dishwasher arriving on Monday. I can’t fault the Bosch for giving me 9 good years with no problems.
It was fun trying! I’m grateful for the existence of UKW.

I’ve got symptoms very similar to this, also on a Bosch SGS5312 dishwasher. although there is a faint humming noise coming from the back.
The controller PCB seems to be OK & I’ve checked the relays – they’re all fine. Further efforts to investigate blockages etc. are being frustrated by daft things – like how do I access the innards to check pipework, valves etc.?
All efforts to find an online workshop manual have failed :^( .
Any suggestions? My missis is huffing, puffing & hot to trot out & buy a new one, but times is ‘ard . . .
