Moderator18 months ago I vowed to stop doing any module repairs on Indesit junk. I had had modules repaired etc but the end results were poor to say the least. I was out of pocket on so many occasions that I just decided it wasn’t worth wasting my time on them.
Just wish I had stuck to my guns, I took pity on this punter and agreed to get the module tested/repaired.
Initial fault was filling out of sequence, dial clicking round and three flashes (NTC fault)
Plugged in a new NTC to test without success.
Its worth noting that at this time I could set the control knob to any of the four stop/reset positions and it would switch off and allow me to reset.
Sent module of to EMW and got it back the day after, can’t fault them for speed of service.
There had been some repairs done on the board so I thought I was on the right track.
Fitted the board and although it does not click round with error messages the control knob is now totally out of synch.
Set it to prog 4 and it spins, set it to spin and it fills, set it to any one of the four reset positions and it will not stop/reset but click all the way round to the previous programme. I can only get it to stop/reset by selecting one of the spin programmes.
Now I know that the slave timers are also very suss on these but why was it doing the stop/reset perfectly before. 😕
No sign of any burning on the slave timer contacts BTW.

My first thoughts are, could the module have been programmed incorrectly? say to a different version of that model?
Or could you have put the connection for the slave timer wiring slighty ‘off-key’ on the module.
❓

I did double check and tighten all the module connections.

I’m going to pop back with a slave timer first, you never know with these monsters. 🙂

AWD12 has got to be about five years old plus by now. Any machine of that ilk which has given 5 years service has far outlasted its peers and deserves its retirement, i.e. BER.
Just send back the module and cut the stress.

Just send back the moduleAs I mentioned above, this is the module from the machine that has been repaired.
Elderly couple with few funds, will give it my best shot. 🙂
