ParticipantHi there, Whirlpool Ikea microwave, hardly ever been used, looks like new.
Blows the small 160ma fuse on the pcb. Checked all switches etc, can see no easily identifiable fault. Need a wiring diagram for the switches, or full one if available?
Only info can find is on the back: 8587 463 15772 37 0412 301870.Regards

Hi David,
Double whammy applies here,Look HERE at this post and it will explain why diagrams are not available to non trade members of the site.
Also no trade member will give out advice on the repair of microwaves or gas appliances due to the inherent dangers involved, microwaves can KILL even when they are unplugged from the mains.

Hi there, we are trade members of the site. We have been repairing them for 40 years and are Authorised Service Agents for virtually all the manufacturers! Hence the request for help. If you are not able to give it, we will tell the customer to scrap it and don’t bother buying Whirlpool appliances again! We definitely won’t be recommending Whirlpool to anyone in the future!
They used to supply us with manuals when Bob Broglia was with them, but now as with the majority of companies, there is no-one technical there any more, and they are using this as an excuse to cut corners. Why do Whirlpool always use a sledge hammer to crack a nut, when other manufacturers use something simple that works better?

Hi David,
If you are a trade member do you want me to switch this post to the trade technical forum where I am sure you will get the info you need..
Bob Broglia is still with Whirlpool but is not in the tech dept, he is with spares.
Whirlpool will sell you a copy of SIOS for about £40 this should have all the tech info you need.
And finaly the giving out of tech info in the public forums is nothing to do with Whirlpool, no wiring diagrams for any manufacturer are given to any member on the public forums. If such details were given to a member of the public and they injured or even killed themselves then the person giving them the diagram might be held responsible…

Hi there, didn’t realise I was on the public forum. After I logged in it took me here for technical. Give my regards to Bob if you see him?
I have SIOS but can’t find that model listed. It was only the door switch connections that I wanted, but it looks as if the pcb is faulty. The woman is considering scrapping it now and buying a De-Longhi one.
