ParticipantHello 🙂
Got a Miele T294C CTD that’s not heating. It’s running for a few minutes then goes into fault mode.
The sensor on the heater has very little continuity through it, almost nothing. Is this normal, or should I just get a new one ordered at £30 a pop?

Nine out of ten its the TOC. Remember to test it with laundry in.

Aye, have done.
It goes backwards and forwards for a minute weighting the load, then you hear a relay click on the little heater pcb, but there’s no neutral going to the heaters. TOC tests fine 😕
After a few minutes it beeps and flashes the ‘machine iron’ light, which I think is the 3rd light down.

Third light down is fill ring temp sensor open or short circuit.
Part no 3887587 £34.08.

They have a big heater relay and its not on the pcb. But chances are its the toc check for blockages ventilation etc ive also seen the fans block up with dog hair etc which restricts circulation.

🙁 Cr@ppers!
New sensor hasn’t fixed it! The TOC is fine, new sensor, I stripped the thing down, and there’s no blockages anywhere.
Everytime (any heat prog.) after 2 minutes, it goes into fault, and it flashing 2nd light down (machine iron).
Anyone have any sugguestions?

Joy!
Twas one of the relays on the PCB. There’s a little PCB for the heater. Two lives and a neutral, and the neutral relay wasn’t switching 😕

MORNING PEOPLE!
Did a search for Miele CTD, and found my own old post.
Does anybody know how to put these machines into test mode?
…Goatboy Senior is asking, having spend a day p*ssing around with this appliance.Or fault codes? 2nd & 5th light.
It is heating slightly, but goes into fault after 1 minute.
