Hi, when the motor tries to do normal wash action, it just goes straight into high spin and tries to take off. Then it dies and tries again. Am not sure if i’m getting a tacho on motor problem or a control board???

I’d check the tacho magnet first, they sometimes crack or loosen on the shaft.

It probably wouldn’t spin at all if that were the case. 😉

Most common scenario is broken tacho lead on motor plug. Evens favourite leading by a length – just a furlong to go………. 8)

I would be checking the motor plug and harness 1st before i plumped for a motor, also if it is an old style GEC type motor and it has the yellow tacho wires make sure these are not chaffing on the motor body as that can cause it alsoJJ
