ParticipantHi,
I’ve inherited an Indesit Washer Dryer WD12s which was showing a fault code of 10 flashes. After reading posts on this site & others I dutifully cleaned out the pipe arrangements (to pressure switch and around the filter housing) and tested the pressure switch for continuity but found no problems/ causes for concern.I then removed the control module & found a blown track on the pcb. I affected a repair by means of a hardwire soldering.
Upon re-installing the module , the code appeared to have cleared and I was able to run the machine. However, when the control module reached the drain/ rise part of the cycle the machine continually filled with cold water whilst the pump was emptying. I allowed this ‘peculiar’ procedure to repeat itself four times before stopping the machine and manually draining it.
Can you suggest why this might happen? Is it likely that when the pcb was damaged the EPROM was corrupted?
Thanks in advance,

water leaks from the dryer assembly onto the board and blows the tracks and also can damage any of the components on the board.

Thanks suedehead1.
So it looks like I should bite the bullet & buy another module? Have I ruined my chance of an exchange by attempting the pcb myself?

i personally wouldnt put a pcb on it without checking that leak,
if you dont then the board could blow again.March 23, 2009 at 10:57 pm #280960iadom

You might want to consider wether it is worth putting new module in one of these, a long way from the best machine on the market, very much a bottom end budget job.
A new module will cost you over £90.00
Then you will need a £15 to £20 smartcard to programme the new module.
Oh, and of course you will need a £65 to £75 smartcard reader to allow you to do this. 😥
There are one or two companies who will repair these modules for you.Jim.
