    Could anybody tell me what the polystyrene disc driven by a motor attached to the bottom plate of my washer/dryer is please.
    I took a guess that it might be something to do with the static as it doesn’t seem to have any weight to it to be a damper.

    Hi

    Please post model and serial numbers.

    Polystyrene disc is anti flood device, if machine leaks into base disc rises and switches water inlet valves off and drain pump on.
