Water in new dishwasher?

    Hi everyone!
    I got new dishwasher today but during close inspection I discovered water in salt container. Doesn`t supose to be empty and dry as long the dishwasher is new and never used? I think they just give repared or used to me. Please help! My blood presure is rising high! 😡

    You’re a very lucky man – you’ve got the one that was tested at the factory. It must have passed, so it might work for a while.

    Do a hot empty wash with detergent before setting it to work.

    Thanks Ping. You confirm what I read allready online. I was ready to bring it back in store tomorow… I read manual carefully but there is nothing about water in new mashine. 💡 Maybe one more sentence in four page manual about it would do good and prevent lots of nerves and thouthts. It would also bring more credit to factory if customer would know that the little of water is due to testing. Just opinion.
    Thanks a lot for quick reaction. You bring peace to my mind again and dramaticaly lowered my blood pressure and hart beet rate. 😆

    Once a dishwasher has been filled for the first time, it is just about impossible to empty it completely – there will always be some residual water in it. A good hot wash will purge any stale water and you can use it in the full confidence that it’s clean.

    Look at it as buying a new car with 5 miles on the clock instead of 1, ‘cos it’s been once round the test track.

    Dishwasher rinsed and tested. GOOD results :tup: wery happy. Can not imagine I have been living without it!
