ParticipantHi Guys, does anyone know if whirlpool have released the AWZ7913 exhaust thermostat as a spare part?
Its shape is different to the traditional whirlpool exhaust type – this is more like a 35mm long 8mm diameter cylinder which is now a push fit rather that the 2 screw type.
Can anyone help?March 29, 2009 at 10:57 pm #281646Penguin45

Hmm – can’t find anything on this one at all. I note that it’s still a current model from a quick Google – is there not a warranty on this?
One of my colleagues notes that this is your 18th different machine requested for assistance. I don’t know what you do to appliances in your household, but you need to ease up a bit, or buy better quality to start with. 😀

I asked my friend who owns the machine when it was purchased, she said that it was early 2007 – she’s not sure if the guarantee has expired but will certainly check, I’ll tell her to phone Whirlpool for assistance or just bin the machine.
I’ve had a few dryers myself and a fridge freezer that went down quite recently… as most people have in a busy family environment; mainly my questions relate to family, friends and neighbours who ask, very few of these items even set foot in my home.
You’re probably right though, I’ll tell them all in future that they should be not be trying to fix these things but should instead be filling up the recycling centres and replacing with brand new machines, this will give a two fold solution 1) great for the environment and 2) helps us spend loads more cash in the current economic downturn.March 31, 2009 at 12:25 pm #281650EFS

The ntc is similar to those which come complete with some washing machine elements.
Test reading should be 1.0K at 100.C & 34.6K at 0.C (melting ice).
Your local independant repairer will probably have one or two lying around and could probably do an economic repair if this is actually the fault.Steve
