Siemens Vario Electronic Comon Fault Model No DA11OE13F18Y5

Having read reports about a fault with this machine similar to one we have experienced with ours, that is the motor ceases after reaching correct temperature as would be normal, but then does not restart, when the fridge or freezer temperature rises, as it should, I carried out a test by stopping the machine as it was fully running, by switching it off using the on off switch for the refrigerator / freezer. The fault appears to be intermittant on our machine. This morning after disconnecting it, and, also switching it on, and off, using the power switch, for the fridge, and the manual overried, for the freezer, as well as operating, the door light switch a few times, the motor started, but there was no destinct connection, between that, and any of the activities, leading me to believe the fault may be a poor electrical connection, somewhere, perhaps the on off switch itself. Does the compressor motor have an electric starter, which I believe some continental cooling machines do have? Does the manufacturer provide drawings or diagrammes for their machines, if so where are the to be found? If it is a starter then on some meachines, I have seen, it is a simple solenoid. There is a small box at the back of the machine that could house one of these. Could that be the fault? Is it perhaps overheating?
