Had a customer ring me from London[how did he get my number]. He is looking for a wash pump[he calls it a circulation pump] for a hotpoint twintub model 9414. He describes it as an aluminium pump with a aluminium pulley that takes a round section belt. Does anyone still have one or know where I can get one please?

as far as i can remember the pumps were plastic the wash pump had a flat plastic pulley which ran on the outer edge of a v belt still available from connect, the spin drain pump had a aluminiun pulley which took a thin round elasticated belt i have one of each kicking about somewhere.

Thats a wash pump, this will be a spin pump that is required for round belt pulley, part number 144406. The pumps have been all plastic for well over 25 years so the one he has must be a pattern one.

    Re: Scraping the barrel

Finally managed to contact this gent again. He is old and a bit forgetful. He still maintains it is a wash pump, but I think it is a spin pump. He is now saying it is a plastic pump with an alloy wheel that takes a round section belt. If anyone has one and is willing to post it to him, would they please email me at kenliquorpond@tiscali.co.uk. witha phone number. If anyone responds and ends up out of pocket as a result, Iwill personally re-imburse them. Perhaps loopey? Thanks.
