Can anybody tell me how to run diagnostics on this model. I have had a number of occasions where it has stopped and seems to have a blockage (water in the bottom) by switching it on with the button held down I seem to be able to get into a diagnostic routine where I can eventually get the pump to run and remove the water, it all works well afterwards. However it is a hit and miss effort and I cannot seem to work out which buttons to press to get things to work.

If you have a regular blockage perhaps its best to check whats causing it, filters blocked, drain hose kinked would be the obvious things to look out for.

No not regular, now and again. I presume it’s a blockage but I can clear it by getting the pump to run so I would like to know if there is a key sequence to get into diagnostics and test things out.

Basic’s need to be checked first. You need to open up sump hoses and pump, could be something floating around which is occasionally causing problems. Is it connected directly to the sink outlet, these get gunged up.
Pump itself may be worn ,modern ones (syncronus motors) can run in both directions so sometimes will jam sometimes not.
Check for pump impellor shaft not being looose in bearings and look for water in the motor shaft housing.
