Have an LG WM10260T washing machine to replace bearings and seal with a kit from UK Whitegoods.
Anybody out there who could give me a realistic cost to charge the customer for labour without them falling over as they are just down my road and are deciding whether to buy new or not? Would take it into my workshop to strip down.
Are there any nasty hidden pitfalls on taking this model apart to get the drum out plus the old corroded bearings?

    Thanks chaps

Probably one of the easiest bearing jobs you will ever do. As far as cost goes, thats pretty much depends on you.

I find most LG owners happy to spend a reasonable amount on their machines as they usually like them.
Supply & fit bearings usually gets me £80/£90 on an LG, only if no spider required of course. Nice to work on a machine thats actually designed to be repaired.. WELL DONE SOUTH KOREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cabinet screws on LG are incredibly tight fitting. Even when you put them back in lightly, they seem to somehow grab and be difficult to get out again. Cabinets seem to be very solid and heavy, like Miele.

Now that’s what I call an understatement! 😆 Fine if you have the driver tip to fit but these koreans seem to use something crossed between a philips and a pozi! The only bonus is the screws seem to be quite hard so if the driver slips it doesn’t wreck the head altogether 😆

Friend of the misses so did not want to undercharge then spend the whole day getting the bearings out with a bearing puller only to find other damage on the main spindle.

    Thanks
