    Hi,
    Have a AEG DW FAV507601D 911234714-00.

I changed the dispenser as it was obviously broken. Now it is opening as soon as you shut the door, the coil is always charged and buzzing.
Looking at the old coil it had got very hot so this has happened some time ago.
I removed the display pcb (1115730002) as the dispenser connects to it and there looks to be a traic?? in circuit. However i am now not sure this pcb is fully in control of when the dispenser opens.

Anyone had the same problem as the pcb’s are a fortune.

    Thanks
    Graeme

    Thanks Chris 🙂

Having looked at the pcb, one side of the coil is connected to the middle of the triac. The other just links down to the main pcb. I am not skilled enough to test between a device failure or a logic fault asking the dispenser to open.

May have to cut my losses here if there is no common fault.

    Cheers

Hi Graeme: It would be easy to check for Triac failure in this, just check between all pins of the Triac with an Ohmmeter & if faulty would read s/c or heavily leaky between terminals. 8)

Thanks for the tip, will get my meter on it.
Usually there are a few of the same type on a pcb to check against, this only has the one.

Amazing how Beko can produce a dishwasher pcb for £20 and AEG charge £100 to £200 for each of the 3 in this machine.

    Have a good week
    Graeme
