I have just inherited a whirlpool condenser that has no power at all,no lights on the panel, nothing.
Given i do not know its history i have to sort out this problem from scratch.
I have checked that there is 240 volts to the main circuit board and to the rotating knob on the front(which appears to be fine as it switches off the current and on as you rotate it).All the microswitches on the collection tray and the door pin mechanism all click nicely as they should and when i took the thing apart everything too looked as it should, the machine clearly isn’t that old and has signs of very little use,the filters are clear and the vents are fluff free!
It would appear that it is an electrical fault but what?
If someone repeatedly opened the door on a cycle could this burn out the thermostat, and if so could that stop the full function of this machine.I see there are no thermal fuses on this model so that rules out that theory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i’m quite handy at repairing things and i do not want this to beat me!

PCB – £130 last time I checked. This is why you have inherited it at such a young age, almost certainly.

Is there any way i can get the pcb unit tested and repaired as £130 is a tad steep.
There is an R.S. Components near me who do fix broken circuit boards.
