ParticipantAfter reading all I can find about the ISE 10 washer and the general idea behind it all I am on the verge of ordering one, however I do have a question to put before I do.
On checking to see where I can buy one from my nearest dealer seems to be around 30 miles away and going on the what I have read this means that the engineer who would repair it is also 30 miles away and hardly a local chap, so how would this reflect on callout times?
Also if ordering from the website i would assume that you just contact the nearest dealer and appoint one for installation but this leaves the same question or do you have other ways of dealing with repairs in these cases.
One of the reasons for my questions is that I have had dealings with a couple of local engineers and to say I was dissappointed in their service is putting it very politely.
I love the whole ISE idea, should be more people out there like yourselves. :tleft: :tright:

Hi Richard,
It very much depends on the area and what you define “local” to be. For example, I’m based 20 odd miles from the southerly tip of Glasgow but I consider from there to the North side, another 15 miles as being local. Mind you, my little patch is the bulk of West Central Scotland.
Usually it comes down to postcodes and major routes most of the time as to how good or bad cover is, but that goes for pretty much anything I find across the UK. Basically, if you don’t live in a population centre, on or near a main route to one then you can get a slightly slower response time that gets slower the further away from the beaten tracks you get.
Then you factor in that, in heavily populated areas, you can get the problem of too much work leading to delays.
And, believe it or not, our work can be very seasonal. Try getting a call just before Christmas and you’ll see what I mean as people call in to get that pesky oven that’s been bust for six months repaired to cook a feast.
It really is very hard to explain in a couple of paragraphs as it varies up and down the country.
What I will say though is that, generally in my experience, the guys do their absolute best to keep their customers happy regardless of all that.
When the machines are ordered online we will, wherever possible, pass the delivery and installation to the local repairer. Where that’s not possible or there’s a problem with timing (it can take a few days sometimes to get a machine to an agent) we will switch to a national installer who will normally install in 2-5 days.
After that any service requirement is tagged to the closest repairer that is an ISE agent.
Hope that helps
K.

Yes thanks it does help, pretty much as I suspected really (didn’t expect a reply so quick though 😯 )
If the agents have a quarter of the enthusiasm that you have I think I will be in good hands.
Many thanksTime to order I think 8)

Technically, I work a small patch in the north of Leeds. However, I deliver and install ISE10 machines all over West Yorkshire quite regularly. It’s a “fire and forget” product. Install it, demonstrate it, occasionally demonstrate it again so as the client “gets” all the nuances of what the machine is capable of and I KNOW that I’m not going to see that particular customer again for a good few years.
The only catch with the “off-patch” customers is that I will only be able to get to them as an evening call to end the day with. It hasn’t happened with and ISE10 machine in 2 years, so I would just by it with full confidence.

Thanks for your replies guys, it’s on order.
I’m fairly confident with everything I have read, that said it is a machine and as has been said before they do break sometimes so was just seeing what the position was.
I am sure I have made the right choice.
Cheers

Well we have had the machine installed for a week or so now and I have to say it’s SUPERB 😀 😀 . It’s so quiet it’s hard to hear it whilst it’s washing and the fill cycle is not much louder. Spin caught us out too with the lack of noise, now we don’t have to even speak loudly while it’s spinning and washes loads faster than the Zanussi it’s replaced.
All in all very satisfied with the experience, ( ‘er indoors has said “it’s a wonderful machine” more than once )
Nice one ISE :tleft: -
