20 months ago I installed a New World NW60 oven into a house that we rent out. The tenant has informed me that the inner glass door ‘just exploded’.

Is this likely, or is there likely to be a more ‘direct’ cause?

Either way, are they easy to replace and are they expensive?

    TIA

It does happen now and again ,maybe due to a chip in the glass sometime, not really designed for resting utensils on but people often do.
Follow the instructions on how to remove door and then have a look for screw which secure the two halves together matbe two or four screw,
The inner door glass is often bonded to the inner door frame (mostly) so you would need the inner door assembly, some are secured by a screw either side of the glass.Easy enough to do either if you are reasonably competent .
