Machine fills to correct level and washes Ok until enters rinse, fills too high and then empties some and fills again.
Looking at the level switch I presume the mechanical part is the overfill safety device but couldn’t find any resistance on the other connections into the level switch.
What is the set up in these level switches please ?

I think you’ll probably find that the air pressure hose is in fact punctured? They become un-hooked from their tub retainers and rub against the side. 😉

Called back, removed the level switch hose and tested but no sign of abrasion or air leak but changed it anyway.
Checked chamber at sump for level switch which was clean.
Ran through 60C prog and after heating for a while there was a period where it added more water in a very intermittent way as though a relay was bouncing in and out sometimes not connecting hardly at all,it was still heating(ampclamp confirming) it then continued and emtied at first rinse and refilled OK. I could understand it adding cold water at the end of hot wash for cooling but the heater was still engaged.
So,it seems like either a level/pressure switch problem or some sort of problem with the control board.
Have just realised I haven’t put a megger on the heater, could there be an earth leak causing problem?
    Any thoughts ?

Ran it through a 60c,checked the element and motor but no earth fault at all.
The machine is now behaving normally,I did previously change the level tubing but it still played up afterwards so that wasn’t the solution, looks like a pcb fault of sorts,I’ll have to wait and see what happens.

😀 S’probably fixed. I reckon this is how homeopathy and crystal healing work.
